The place to enjoy the world of Japanese anime.

Suginami Animation Museum is the first comprehensive animation museum established on Mar. 5, 2005 in Japan. The museum provides all ages, from kids to senior citizens, with opportunities to enjoy, learn, experience, and understand Japanese animations systematically. The museum aims to introduce comprehensive knowledge about animations from past to future and to provide visitors with fun through animations in various ways. It has participatory exhibits and corners where visitors can directly experience process of animation production such as voice acting as well as learn basis of animation. It also offers planning exhibitions filled with the latest information about animations. In addition, the museum has such facilities as Library which contains materials related to animation works and interview videos with animation creators and Anime Theaters which shows representative animation works systematically.

The director of the museum is Mr. Shinichi Suzuki, a well-known cartoonist and animator, originated from Tokiwa-So, and Association of Japanese Animations undertakes operation and exhibitions of the museum.
